What you'll learn — the curriculum
Over six weeks you'll move from renal fundamentals to confident bedside practice, through classroom lectures paired with supervised, hands-on clinical exposure in a working dialysis unit. The program covers:
Renal fundamentals
Kidney function, chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and the principles of hemodialysis — diffusion, convection and ultrafiltration.
The HD machine & circuit
Structure and function of the dialysis machine and extracorporeal circuit, machine set-up and priming, and alarms and troubleshooting.
Water treatment & dialysate
Reverse-osmosis (RO) water treatment, AAMI water-quality standards, and the preparation of acid and bicarbonate concentrates.
Dialyzer reprocessing
Rinsing, priming and reprocessing of dialyzers to AAMI standards, with correct labeling and reuse tracking.
Patient care & assessment
Pre-, intra- and post-dialysis assessment, dry-weight and fluid management, and accurate monitoring and documentation.
Vascular access
Cannulation of arteriovenous fistulas and grafts, central-catheter care, and safeguarding the patient's lifeline access.
Medications & anticoagulation
Safe administration of heparin, erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) and intravenous iron as ordered.
Complications & emergencies
Recognizing and managing intradialytic complications, plus Basic Life Support (BLS) in cardiac or pulmonary emergencies.
Infection prevention & control
Standard precautions, machine assignment by serostatus, hand hygiene and PPE, and healthcare-waste management.
Professionalism & safety
Patient rights and confidentiality, teamwork, and a culture of patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
By the end of the program
On successful completion, you'll be able to:
- Safely set up, prime, initiate, monitor and terminate a hemodialysis treatment.
- Assess patients before, during and after dialysis and respond to complications appropriately.
- Cannulate and care for vascular access using correct aseptic technique.
- Apply infection-control and water-safety standards consistently.
- Document accurately and work confidently as part of a renal-care team.

Training fee
₱14,000 — cash or installment
Inclusive of the HD in-house manual and HD consumables (gloves and N95 masks).
50% down payment (₱7,000) — on or before the training start.
Remaining 50% balance — settled during the training period, at least two weeks before it ends.

Who can join the program?
The program is open to all Registered Nurses (RNs). You do not need prior dialysis experience — we build your hemodialysis skills from the ground up.
When is the next batch, and what is the schedule?
Our next batch (Batch 86) runs September 16 – October 28, 2026, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at our Quezon Avenue main branch. It combines on-site lectures with supervised, hands-on clinical exposure.
How much is the training fee, and how do I pay?
The fee is ₱14,000, inclusive of the HD in-house manual and consumables (gloves and N95 masks). You may pay in cash or by installment — 50% (₱7,000) down on or before the start, and the balance during the training — via bank transfer to our PBCOM account or at the cashier.
What will I learn?
Patient care and assessment, basic hemodialysis skills, vascular-access safeguarding, and infection-control protocols — through both classroom lectures and supervised clinical practice.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. On successful completion you earn a Certificate of Training that strengthens your professional credentials.
What are the requirements to enroll?
An updated résumé, a photocopy of your PRC ID, an updated Hepatitis profile (Anti-HCV, Anti-HBs and HBsAg), and your vaccination records (COVID-19). Please bring the originals on your first day.
Will this help me get hired?
