PhilHealth & the cost of dialysis
The question everyone's afraid to ask — answered as plainly as we can.

Does PhilHealth cover dialysis?
Yes. PhilHealth provides a dedicated hemodialysis benefit for eligible members, paid per session up to a set number of sessions each year. Bring your Member Data Record (MDR) and we'll help you check what applies to you.
The numbers, in plain terms
Under the latest PhilHealth circular, the hemodialysis package is ₱6,350 per session, covering 156 sessions per year — that's three sessions a week, all year — for a total of about ₱990,600 a year of coverage.
That package is designed to cover the core of a session: the facility and machine, the dialyzer, solutions and dialysis kit, anticoagulation, anemia medicines (ESA and IV iron), the related labs, and professional fees.
Beyond hemodialysis
PhilHealth also has separate “Z” benefit packages for peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation, which were substantially increased in 2025 — worth asking about if either may be right for you.
HMO & other payment options
Beyond PhilHealth, we are HMO-accredited and accept various forms of payment. Bring your HMO card, and our team will help you check your coverage and choose the option that works best for you.
What will I actually pay?
It depends on your membership status, your remaining covered sessions, your HMO benefits, and any services outside the package. We'll sit with you and go through the real numbers for your situation — clearly, before your treatment, with no surprises.
