PhilHealth & the cost of dialysis

The question everyone's afraid to ask — answered as plainly as we can.

Please note: the exact figures below are placeholders until Dr. Rivero confirms what St. John Biocare is comfortable publishing. Coverage rules and case rates can change — we'll keep this page current.

Does PhilHealth cover dialysis?

Yes. PhilHealth provides a dialysis benefit for eligible members, paid as a “case rate” per session up to an annual number of sessions. Bring your Member Data Record (MDR) and we'll help you check what applies to you.

What is a “case rate”?

A case rate is a fixed amount PhilHealth pays per covered session. If the session cost is within that amount, your out-of-pocket cost can be very low. We'll always explain any difference before your treatment.

What will I actually pay?

It depends on your membership status, remaining covered sessions, and the specific services you need. We'll sit with you and go through the real numbers for your situation — no surprises.
